I'm tring to simulate a tensile strength test with a single lap joint in Abaqus right now.
Normal single lap joint specimen can be made by tying the adhesive and adherends by using tie method in Abaqus. However, this method only simulates in the case of the adhesive and adhereds is completly sticking to each other. I want to simulate in the case of the adhesive being diulted by some kind of powdered material, resulting the adhesive to have a part that does and does't sitck. Is there any way that I can simulate in the case of the adhesive having parts that does and doesn't stick?
