I wish to model an RCC building in SAP2000 that's supposed to have aged, let us say my model has to show a building that has existed for 10 years upon which I wish to perform a certain set of analyses. How can I do it? A detailed explanation upon this would be much appreciated because I wish to perform nonlinear time history analysis upon this structure too at a later stage.
I would ask for an inspection of the building to get the design infromation I need. You need to take into consideration cracking in concrete, and Also use the existing steel yield stress and existing concrete strength. Maybe you can find some articles on how yield stress and concrete stress decrease with time under certain conditions (environment)
