It is clear that your load is not a continuous load but it is a type of burst load. Such load can be supplied by energy stored in batteries or supercapacitors. The battery and or the supercapacitor is to be charged much more slowly than the short discharging time. Consequently the requirements on the charging circuit will be much relieved. The ratio of the currents Ich/Idis= t dis/Tch.

You can use fixed power source with programmable load bank, that way it will be easier to simulate your requirement, in that case you just have to work on load calculation to select appropriate power supply and load.

I work on a PLC controlled power supply supply for the variable load current requirement, apart from this method, how can such supply be physically implemented?

Programmable AC/ DC loads are readily available for various ratings. You can find it in Simulink if you choose any standard load bank, e.g. Chroma, Keysight, etc.

PSIM can model any source.

Can someone share a reference simulink model for a 3phase (input) , inverter based dc power supply using high frequency transformer? I am new to SIMULINK modelling and am trying to work on a supply with two level current control.
