the sampling frequency plays a critical role. If the sampling frequency for the controller is not choosen right, the controller does not work as intented.

why mostly the sampling frequency of the controller and the switching frequency are different, and how i can set the sampling frequency of discrete powergui in Simulink to control shunt active power filter?
Most of the time I like to take one of the first blocks in a system an change the sampling period from the block settings from -1 to a particular value, say fs = 1e-5 s. It is important to set the simulation file configuration parameters of the simulation 100 times less (still quite a poor resolution) to fres = 1e-7 s for the simulation to work properly. The greater the ratio fs/fres the slower your simulation will run so choose carefully.
