I am doing a crush analysis of hollow tubes for finding peak load and energy absorption using abaqus explicit .I want to do it in quasi static way, i followed two methods for my model setup (two rigid shell planar plates and a shell extrusion part between them)

1) simple displacement of of top plate in one direction 

B.Conditions used :

a.tie at both the ends surface to surface

b.bottom plate refrence point encastre and top plate rp was able to translate in only one direction

c.then desired displacemnt to rp of top plate in step 1.

For doing in different way for example a force of 150kN at a speed of 3mm/min , what boundary conditions should i use ?
