My experiments lead to milligrams-quantity of these materials and their qualitative properties are important to measure. Is there any method with which I can remove as much quantity of the quartz wool from the red clay as possible? I am trying to recover only the red clay without changing any of its physical/chemical properties, and not the quartz wool.
Please let me know if anyone has any suggestion regarding this.

Dear sir,The clay was subjected to hydrocarbons at high temperatures, which change its surface area by blocking the pores. Perhaps the presence of quartz wool will not affect it any further to a significant extent.
