While getting the optical constants of any material like MAPbI3 from refractiveindex.info, there is always an option for selection of wavelength. Can anyone pls tell me how to select this wavelength for a particular material. If we change the wavelength, the n, k graphs will also change, which further changes the absorption coefficient of the material. Screen shot of the same is attached here with.

For solar cell applications the range of wave lengths of interest starts from the wavelength corresponding to its energy gap such that
Eg= hc/ lambda,
where Eg: the energy gap,
h : the Planck consatnt,
and lambda the wavelength of the incident radiation
and ends with the shortest possible wavelength absorbed.
The optical absorbance of a material may be in the form of a band pass or in the form of high pass.
But in principle you can subject any material to a light with a specific wavelength and see its response by measuring it refractive index n and its extinction coefficient k.
So, yo can cover scan the whole range and then plot it and see these material response curves.

Refractive index is a function of wavelength. Just download the text file of n&k vs wavelength from the website, and work with that.
