How to select few sample plots if you have many agroforestry plots for inventory?

I have 11,000 plots and I only want to select 36 plots for inventory using GIS.

Dear Hassina,

Depending on your goal with the selected plots, you can do it randomly or keeping any representativity. Do you have any information about the characteristics of the plots? Is any spatial environmental information is available for supporting the decision on the selection?

Anyhow, a more detailed specification of your problem could provide better answers.
