the formation of ammonium sulfide is delaying our progressing by blocking the gas line during hydrotreatment of heavy residue on hydrotreater with fixed bed reactors?
Scrubbing with deionized water could be considered to absorb ammonium sulfide, in order to prevent blockage of gas line; cf.:
M.V. Landau, M. Herskowitz, D. Givoni, S. Laichter, D. Yitzhaki, "Medium severity hydrotreating of Israeli shale oil – II. Testing of novel catalyst systems in a trickle bed reactor", Fuel, 77(1-2), 1998, pp. 3-13; Article Medium severity hydrotreating and hydrocracking of Israeli s...
first of all i'm surprised how is it Israele shale oil are you mean Palestine shale oil
i read your answer but it doesn't clear how to overcome the formation of Ammonium Sulfide on the separator section at gas line
i have some of solutions to treat this problem as addition of water because the (NH4)2S is soluble in water and anther one solution is to increase the heating on gas line and condenser
but actually i'm searching about other solution as a new creation
So far there is no visible solution on industrial scale, except you specified i.e. injection of wash water in upstream of condenser. Probably Licensor of technology also could have searching the alternative solution.
