I am using 20% w/v CaCl2 solution to crosslink my alginate scaffold and i am not able to remove completely by washing with water. What should I do to remove the excess amount of CaCl2 from my scaffold?

You used 20% w/v CaCl2 solution to crosslink your alginate scaffold,
CaCl2 concentration is high
Normally, between 1% to 5% w/v
However, the samples could wash three times with distilled water to remove excess Ca2+ and dried under vacuum at room temperature.

Sodium citrate, EDTA or alginate lyase. Assuming you want to get rid of the alginate.

If you have cells in your scaffolds, sodium citrate should be the way to go, since at moderate concentrations it is biocompatible. EDTA will murder your cells most likely.
If you have no cells in your scaffold, any Ca2+ chelating agent should work.
