I am wondering how would you decrease the chip size while integrating more functions on the chip by adding the off chip components including rf inductors to the chip. What do you intend may be realized by using 3D integration or the chip level integration where one can integrate vertically more than one chip.
Thank you very much Sir @Abdelhalim Zerky for your valuable response, Sir actually I am trying to design a inductorless Circuit and the same time, there should be no off chip components. As in high frequency fr circuit Inductor or balun circuit takes a lot of chip area. Actually we have our own limitations I.e. we are designing it for broadband application. So, sir can you please suggest me some other techniques like active inductor design or something like that, which will efficiently service as per our high frequency circuit and also take less chip area. Thank you very much sir.
If you give more information about your circuits one may introduce a solution proposal. Specifically what is the operating frequency range of your circuit.
If it is low and medium frequency then you can use an inductor simulator. There are many inductor simulator circuits. May one of the simplest realizations is that given in the link:https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/1049979/
If you design a filter then you can use rc active filter realizations.
Sir @Abdelhalim Zerky 1-6GHz ( Amplifier design) actually my goal is to make an inductorless circuit, and there should be no off- chip components, can you please suggest me some research papers or some techniques.
Thank you very much Sir, for your valuable response and your reply.
Wide banding techniques such as negative feedback, pole zero compensation and high fT transistors as well as current mode circuits can be used to realize wide band amplifier.
