In my process by product heptahydrate sodium acetate found in dissolve form in water & get Higher COD value after chlorination so, how to reduce COD ?
So you still need further treatment, or you can change chlorination with other methods because chlorination by products residual cause this higher COD

Level of COD in water often correlate with organic material concentration.You can reduce concentration of heptahydrate sodium acetate in water by ozone oxidation.
