The “Asian Journal of Pharmacognosy” publishes peer reviewed original research articles, review papers and short communications dealing with Asian pharmacognosy, pharmacological activities of Asian medicinal plants, phytochemistry of Asian medicinal plants, toxicity of Asian medicinal plants, ethnopharmacology and ethnobotany of Asian medicinal plants. The journal also considers short notes to report on traditional medicines used in Asia. The “Asian Journal of Pharmacognosy” is also aimed at giving an opportunity to researchers from developed countries, without big labs and funds to publish their good and simple scientific observations and evidence in an academic peer reviewed journal without having to pay high publishing fees. Our journal is solely dedicated to spread knowledge and information on medicinal plants from Asia. The “Asian Journal of Pharmacognosy” is endowed with a “Young Scientists”, where young scientists can publish full papers or research notes at half the cost. The current health and ecological issues faced in Asia require an urgent need to offer a professional platform of scientific communication between Asian countries to protect the community and we are aiming at facilitating such communications on medicinal plants.

Usually, If I am not familiar with a Journal or what kind of topics or manuscript they accept, I just go to their websites, and print out a few papers (ex. open access) and look through how those authors write their papers.

I can now send you at least 1000 Journals listed in Bealls list and have IF with Thomson Reuters??? Can you tell that bealls he study all million Journals in the world and see the quality??????. Please we are educated society and not kids. For me and most of researcher, When I publish paper i will look for abstract and Indexing not for bealls opinion.
Every one talk about Bealls list, now no list for bealls. every owner for Open access publisher know very good this man about he support specif publisher. Please i will not talk more and more about this topic. I respect your opinion

Nowadays it is difficult to publish simple reports on medicinal plants in good journals. The big journals are saturated with submission and scientists in Asia must rely on journals asking for high fees. That is why the Asian Journal of Pharmacognosy was created. Kind regads.
I wish in the future the scope of your journal would also cover medicinal plants from other parts of the world like africa
I think @Ibrahim that this Journal accepts manuscripts from all parts of the world (see attached one example: paper contributed by authors from Italy). I did not see any restriction on the origin of medicinal plants or drug (ex. from Asia, or Africa, or US, or .....) used for research to publish on this journal .

The Asian journal of Pharmacognosy was created to give an opportunity of good publication and peer review to researchers working in university without big labs and apparatus in Asia. Today, it will be impossible for such researchers to publish their work in big journals always asking for more and more western blot and etc...These researchers have to publish in hindawis and other predatory journals making money. The Asian Journal of Pharmacognosy was forged with the intention to put an end to that and to allow good and honest scientific observation on medicinal plants to be published with peer review.
