I have read that one of the major challenges in solar cells applications is reducing Hysteresis.
First off, can anyone give an explanation of this phenomenon?
Secondly, how to face this challenge?
It seems to me that mostly researchers are not that much talking about this phenomenon in their articles! Am i right?
Not really - hysteresis is common effect in thin PV, such as organic , hybrid and dsscs. As usually it is a result of capacitance between electrodes and photoactive layer. see foe example our recent publication ( Nanotechnology, 2016)and refs therein
Yes you are right, really it is a major challenges in the solar cells applications . in other words there are many problems with no reasonable explanation in
perovskite solar cells such as hysteresis and S-shaped current-voltage characteristics.

The emerging PV, DSSC, PSC, ..., have the capacity effect and hysteresis effect. Therefore, I-V of the device show forward/backward can't overlap.
