Thank you for the reply. I know the basic formulation. DO you have the code? For example, i have data in dB and degree of s-paramters, how can i plot the active s-parameters. At the moment i am not steering the beam, i am looking in the broad side. the input weight is simply 1 volt.

I know it's a very late answer. But If you're using HFSS, you can plot Active S-parameters from the same menu that you plot S parameters. Not sure when they added this to HFSS, I'm referring to 18.2

Thank you Fereidani, the problem was resolved as i can plot now in matlab and also hfss has this option available now.

HOW did you resolve HFSS probelm dear...Muhammad Saeed Khan... Are you sure the parameter in HFSS that it calls active S parameter reflects the reflection for your four ports? To my understanding these Active S parameters are betwen two ports when they are active and the rest are simutaneousy off...
