Hello all,
I'm pretty new to CST Studio, and I'm trying to learn the ropes by mimicking the results of a patch antenna I found in a paper in CST Studio. I've constructed the antenna in CST Studio, but I'm a little confused on how the waveport system in CST Studio works. I have the basic layout of the antenna attached, as borrowed from the paper. My main question is: when constructing the waveport in CST Studio, would I put the waveport fully against the square patch (Image A in my attached images), or would I construct the waveport on some type of strip (Image B in my attached images)?
I have watched quite a few videos on CST Studio, but none have really talked about what a waveport really does or how it may interact with things like traces on a PCB, so I would love any information!
I would really appreciate any advice you may have!
(The paper I'm trying to learn from is "Design and Evaluation of Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces in Real-World Environment" if anyone wants to check it out!)
