How to perform a neighbourhood- LCA assessment ? Is it relevant to analyze all neighbourhood's objects in detail or focus only on those that contribute the most to the impacts? Should the question of priorities, which depend on the local context, (water scarcity in some regions, for example) and the choices of decision makers in the choice of objects and themes be taken into account in the LCA assessment ?
Take for example Life Cycle Assessment of Land Use in Neighborhoods. To assess the environmental impact of primary land use in neighbourhoods, one may consider not only the footprint of buildings but also the footprint of infrastructure and open spaces. Impacts related to land occupation and transformation must be evaluated based on the impact assessment methods of soil organic matter (SOM) (i.e. impact on soil quality) and Eco-indicator 99 (i.e. impact on biodiversity).
An LCA study of neighbourhood models with diverse built densities, i.e. consisting of detached houses, semi-detached houses, terraced houses to compact apartment blocks, must be performed. Moreover, buildings must be simulated using combinations of building elements, from solid to timber frame structures.

Please consider the list of inventories you would like to propose in your study. Then try to figure out every means of footprints throughout its life cycle stages of each objects.
