I tried to simulate metamaterial structure in hfss using master and slave boundaries. However I didn't get negative epsilon. And I couldn't obtain graph of mu versus frequency. Please suggest me a solution.
I don't think it is quite correct to characterize a metasurface with mu and epsilon. The ideal metasurface is infinitely thin. What use does permeability and permittivity have in this case? Instead, think about how the metasurface affects amplitude and phase of an applied wave. If you think you need permeability and permittivity, perhaps you have a metamaterial instead of a metasurface.
