My material is non linear viscoelastic . what tests and analysis should i do to check for viscoplastic behaviour (strain). what stress level should i select during creep test to monitor viscoplastic strain.
Der Vivek Khare, The classic methods for determining the material's penetration for one-dimensional tension, sticking, bending. In recent years, it has been found that standard test patterns do not provide complete and accurate information at higher deformation rates above 30%. The disparity of theory to practical experiments is still the subject of many researchers' research. The subject of the problem is still up to date and the stresses of the load are considered in more complex loads. Such are two-dimensional tension or pressure. In our studies, testing and testing have been performed at higher degrees of deformation. With interest, we can conduct similar inquiries on plastic materials. Regards Emil Yankov
You may either try for a stress controlled shear experiment or a stress sweep experiment under oscillatory shear entering from Small Angle Oscillatory Shear (SAOS) into the Large Angle Oscillatory shear (LAOS) mode.
I did stress controlled creep/recovery test and stress sweep creep/recovery test, and i observed some uncovered strain at the end of the recovery after each test, but since my materials' behavior is stress dependent, so i am unable to predict that it is viscoplastic strain or not ?
Is there some threshold for input stress, above which there might be certain viscoplasticity ?
In short i want to ask what are the basis on which we predict viscoplastcity.
