Can the bond between the anchor bolt and the concrete be neglected in the modelling of the column base plate assuming that the anchor bolts are embedded ?
In HILTI PROFIS we can feed the baseplate ,anchor bolts and concrete grade along with their specifications.
it cannot done in STAAD model , From the STAAD reaction summary of columns (tension ,shear and moment) design will be checked in excel sheets or some other source.
Christi Singaram thank you for your response. May be you understood the problem but the actual issue is I am using CAST3M to solve this FEM problem.
Ali Basim but Jaspart and Vandegans investigated the experimental model of base plates, and they observed that the contact and bond between the anchor bolt and the foundation concrete can easily disappear. They argued that in a sense, one can assume that anchor bolt loses its contact and bond with concrete as soon as loading begins.
