Please refer the images zipped and attached here. I can get the outer and inner diameters separately for each tube. The tube is actually a spring. The camera is viewing at the cross section of the tube. But I want to learn that whether a single algorithm would measure verities of tube. Using single algorithm I am expecting to learn any kind of machine learning here.
Please assume that getting binary images by adaptive thresholding works for all the tubes separately and then fitting it to ellipse or a circle. The camera calibration has been done nicely. The pixel to mm ratio is known at a given ground plan. I am using EMGU; a .NET wrapper for OpenCV. OpenCV will also help. For now I am hoping to learn any trainer of learner algorithm. Any help will be appreciated.
