Biosurfactants are surface active substances synthesised by living cells.they have the properties of reducing surface tension, stabilising emulsions, promoting foaming and are generally non toxic and biodegradable. lipase have biodegradable property, how to measure biosurfactant activity through lipase enzyme. please appropriate answer thank you .
@ Ajaj Ahmed : please explain clearly what do you mean by "biosurfactant activity". You talk about lipase activity, but biosurfactant performance has nothing to do with enzyme activity at all. Please specify your question more clearly, to be able to put reliable answer.

Biosurfactant activity can be measured by Surface tensión with a tensiometer, this is the most accurate method, but very often is also reported by emulsion index, drop collapse, or qualitatively by halo presence culturing bacterial strains with CTAB agar.

Several Items are important in biosurfactant activity, but surface tension reduction and CMC value are the most important ones.
