We have to measure absolute moisture g/kg in flue gas from biomass boiler before and after adding of water. Max T is 150-200 C. Any suggestions of methods or equipment would be useful!
if you are looking at traces of water, then a TDLAS setup would be the best method to determine the water content, if you are looking at higher content (mole% and not ppm), a GC is a good solution or the method suggested above if you have an accurate flowmeter.
Water vapor in flue gas measurements should be performed according to EPA Method 4, which uses a single-point probe. The probe shall traverse a grid layout similar to the dry flue gas grid. Although a stationary grid would reduce the systematic error of the test, use of a stationary grid is not considered practical for this application.
