In textured ceramics, instead of Mol.% or Weight% mostly people used 10 or 20 Volume % template. Anybody can explain how to calculate volume%. Please!!

Two recommendations should help.
* Take a basis of a certain TOTAL amount of material. In your case, to convert from vol% to wt%, take a basis of 100 cm^3 total material. You can calculate the volumes of the components from the vol%.
* Apply unit analysis. How do you convert from a volume basis to a mass basis? ---> Answer: use DENSITY
From this, I hope you can derive the conversion equation that you will need.

Actually I am not using any liquid solution.
I work on powder and intends to add two different powders with volumetric ratio.
For example:
I want to make a total 30g powder with 10 volume% BaTiO3 and 90 Volume% PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT) in it. Here how I can calculate the Volume %age of each. Thank you!

Make a basis of 100cm3 of the final powder mixture
Volume of PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT)=90 cm3
Weight of 90 cm3 PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT)=( 90 cm3)(density)=
90cm3(7.9gm/cm3)=711gm
Volume of BaTiO3= 10 cm3
Weight of 10 cm3 BaTiO3=(10 cm3) (density)=(10cm3) (6.02gm/cm3)=60.2gm
Total weight of 100cm3 of the final powder mixture=711gm+60.2gm=771.2gm
Density of the final powder mixture=771.2gm/100cm3=7.712gm/cm3
Now go back to your powder using the calculated density of the final mixture
True volume of 30 gm final powder mixture=30gm/7.712gm/cm3=3.89 cm3
Then
Volume of PbZr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PZT)=3.5 cm3
Volume of BaTiO3=0.389 cm3
Volumetric ratio=3.5 cm3/0.389 cm3=9/1
note:please the check for the density values.
