I want to polymerize( in low molecular weight) ethylene glycol ,but based on my information most of the polymerizations have done using ethylene oxide and not ethylene glycol. I know that water is the main factor but in what temperature ,catalyst and time?

Dear all, conventional techniques to get low MW polymers are are either to use high concentration of the initiator and/or a transfer agent to limit chains growth. In the 1980th, Prof. JM Harris published many papers on the chemistry of PEG's, I have posted most of them in similar questions at RG. My Regards
