How to make contrast between validity and reliability of the data set?

If there any methods to validate the data set

you can check the spread of data and standard deviation. you can also check the normal distribution behavior. you can perform pruning on the dataset to delete the non correlated data or outliers.

you can use any statistical software to do this. Some examples are statistica, systat, origin etc.
