The paraffine waxes that I am using now as a PCM material is white in solid-state.
I need to male them transparent. I have tried to mix them with the paraffin oil by increasing the oil mass fraction up to 75%. However, the transparency of the mixture decreased with increasing the oil percentage.
Is there any other liquid, oil or other material that can increase the transparency of paraffine on the mixture?
If the wax you are using is not transparent, it may be a challenge making it transparent. If the wax was already transparent, you could use translucent crystal additives (e.g. paraflint) to keep it transparent during any processing.
You can try to obtain paraffin wax that is relatively transparent such as straight chain paraffin wax. IGI 1218 wax is relatively transparent but melts at higher temperatures.
