I used neuraminidase to cut the sialic acid on the surface of tRBC. Now I want to add the sialic acid back to the surface. How should I do with CMP? Is there any protocol about it or any articles mentioned it?

First of all, you need the sugar donor nucleotide. You can buy this ready-made: CMP-N-acteylneuraminic acid (see e.g.: http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/product/sigma/c8271?lang=en®ion=BE).
Then you also need the transferase enzyme, it exists as the alpha-2,3 or as the alpha-2,6 version, or both, depending on which kind of neuraminidase you used.
