The task is to develop a music recognition system (genre, tempo, etc.) and generation of motion for a mobile robot (hexapod, android robot, usual wheeled platform). I would be grateful for any advice or experience in this area.
After recognizing the music (and there are different ways to do this), robot motion can be adjusted according with the music. This can be done associating specific robot motions and robot tasks to a given feature of sound. The robotic platform can have an integrated AI solution to recognize sounds and produce an output to the robot (robot motion). Hope this can help, it is just an idea!
If I understand correctly, your interest is more towards ground based robots. Nevertheless, lots of the ideas and concepts might apply to your work as well.
