I would like to ask if there is a way to quantify the which light wavelength you need to activate ( irradiate) the photo-catalyst of a specific band-gap. for example you know the band-gap of Titania is around 3-3.2 eV, is there a way to theoretically calculate/deduce which light ( visible/UV) required to irradiate this photo-catalyst?

Initially recorded the UV-Vis spectra of the photo-catalyst and the wavelength corresponding to the maximum absorbance is the wavelength of light that activate your catalyst.
so you must run UV/VIS expirments before knowing this, you cant predict it theoretically
