How to interpret the D peak and G peak in amorphous carbon material ?

I am working with amorphous carbon materials and would like to get an explanation on the Raman spectra of amorphous carbon materials .The spectra shows less intensity for D band comparing to G band with an ID/IG of 0.85 . is it means that the amorphous carbon has less defects and if why D is less than G?

usually it could either be same or D band higher than G band.
