How to interpret negative coefficient value of mediation?

I have negative beta value for mediation. Like, Gat is IV, EB is DV & CS is a mediator. There is negative beta value for GAT& EB. As GAT has two dimension i.e. negative and positive. what is meaning of negative beta value for GAT and EB . how to interpret it.
