I uploaded some hours ago on ResearchGate 3 Conference Papers, for Students and Experts. Following many efforts, include Googling, I even tried via Crossref; no-success. Three years ago, I succeeded to insert the DoI on similar papers. Pls assist.
Do you have already DOIs and want to add these, or do you wish to create DOIs for these conference papers? ResearchGate itself provides DOIs only for unpublished research, see https://help.researchgate.net/hc/en-us/articles/14293044585745-ResearchGate-DOIs for instructions. And see the reply by Rob Keller to https://www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_DOI_and_How_to_create if you want to get DOIs for published research. ResearchGate may consider conference papers as published research, but I am not quiet sure.
The thing is that RG DOIs cannot be generated for conference papers on the help page they state, and I quote “As publications classified as article, book, chapter, patent, cover page, poster, and conference paper are considered to have been published elsewhere, ResearchGate DOIs cannot be generated for these types of research”. So, being on the link here on RG as you indicated you cannot generate a DOI.
What you can do is to generate a DOI elsewhere, for example at Zenodo (https://zenodo.org/ ). Once you created a DOI there for a conference paper you can go back to the RG link and insert the newly created DOI there.
See for an example how such a DOI looks like:

Rob many thanks. So, I tried instead of Presentation 'Method', 'Technical Report'... ResearchGate asks for the DoI. I retry to get the DoI via https://zenodo.org/
