When inserting a citation at the beginning of a sentence using an APA referencing style, the author's name goes first followed by the year between brackets i.e. Smith (2000). I'm using Refworks reference software currently, and when I insert citations at the beginning of a sentence, the author's name and year appear in brackets i.e. (Smith, 2000), which is usually used when inserting citations at the end of sentences. Is there a way to insert citation properly at the beginning of sentences using Refworks?

I had similar problems using Mendeley and I had to use a workaround. I would insert the citation, remove the brackets and accept the change when a pop-up comes. But when it was first time citing the article , I resorted to paraphrasing.
Thank you Edmond. I think I found a way to do it, though part of it has to be done manually. When you choose a citation, there are few options that I didn't notice previously. You can hide the Author's name and then insert it manually in the text. I will do this now, unless someone has an easier way of doing it.
