Suppose flash flood has been occurred at one point (Latitude X, Longitude Y). We know clearly that the elevation, slope, rainfall, curvature, etc. of that exact one point (X,Y) are not the only factor of causing that flash flood but also the elevation, rainfall etc. of the upstream areas of that point are the main culprit.

My question is how can I correlate or show that the upstream elevation has influence on the flash flood at the downstream?
