Hello RG community,
I am trying to model the thermal abuse behavior of Li-ion cylindrical cell using COMSOL 5.6.
Two models are coupled, i.e. 1D electrochemical model (to evaluate the heat generation) and 3D thermal model (to evaluate the temperature). Now, I need to deploy the decomposition reactions equations happening in the anode, cathode and electrolyte (during the thermal runaway) in the 1D electrochemical model. The total heat generation from these abuse reactions will be then inputted into the 3D thermal model to evaluate the temperature.
The equations to be inputted are attached to this post.
Also, the equations for the decomposition reactions need time-dependent concentrations of Li-ions in the respective component. Can anyone suggest a way how to add these equations to the 1D model? It will be of great help.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Rojo
