How to implant Cannula into the lateral ventricle, corecctly?

I need to insert a cannula into lateral ventricle of rat brain. previous article mentioned different point and when i check these point in the " Rat Brain Atlas" and with some modification the pointer be on LV. i confused which point is correct?

2- if it is necessary to infuse our drug in both two lateral ventricle or infusion in one of them is enough?

3- in the rat brain atlas when i changed ML distance to negative, the pointer don't sit on the other ventricle!!!?
