The strength of metal alloys is influenced by different factors such as grain size, active slip systems, density of dislocations, secondary phases and so on. Consider conditon that small grain size and large number of stacking faults contribute to high strength in a metal alloy. I want to know how to identify each of these strengthing mechanisms in a quantitative way. See the following equation:

Total strength=primary strength+strength induced by grain size+strength induced by dislocations+ ...

It shows that the total strength is a sum of different strengthing mechanisms.

Is there any formula for quantifying this equation?
