How to get rid off from Bismuth deficiency XRD peak from bismuth based perovskite oxides? Even after adding extra 10% bismuth the peak at around 2THETA= 27 deg, is still observed in XRD data.
1. Hope you are sintering them in a closed environment. If not then do so.
2. Spread the parent powder on the base of alumina plate to quench the vapor pressure difference, before sealing the whole sintering assembly.

To solve the problem, it is important first to find out the step(s) at which Bi is lost such as washing or calcination. Based on that, the suitable solution can be suggested.
I think that monitoring the Bi concentration, via a chemical analysis, during the synthesis process is required.
