I want to estimate LST (Land Surface Temperature) from LANDSAT8 data acquired over Karnataka, India. I am able to estimate Brightness Temperature using the LANDSAT8 data and I dont know how to proceed further. With journals that I referred, I am able to roughly estimate emissivities using NDVI. please guide me how to proceed further as I dont have any atmospheric parameters to estimate atmospheric transmittance which is required for LST estimation. Will be grateful if I can get help and its need of the hour.
Assuming you have already estimated emissivity, the NASA Goddard provided free web based tool (https://atmcorr.gsfc.nasa.gov/) which utilizes NCEP-MODTRAN can be used to derive L8 TIRS Band 10 atmospheric transmission (τ) , upwelling (Lu) and downwelling (Ld) radiances. You can use the metadata of Landsat 8 scene and can also provide the optional surface condition parameters to derive τ, Lu and Ld. The reference provided within this webpage should help you to derive at-surface kinetic temperature or LST using the simplified radiative transfer model (RTM) equation and by inverting the Planck's function. You may also want to follow the screenshots of the same model that I built in ArcGIS Model Builder some years ago that can be found in the attached RG discussion.
Alternatively, you may be also interested in using the split-window algorithm tool when using both thermal bands from TIRS to derive LST https://grass.osgeo.org/grass72/manuals/addons/i.landsat8.swlst.html

Thank you for your answer. I tried RTM with K1,K2 values supplied along with the data. However, I want to know how we can implement SW method without knowing C0,C1,C2,C3,C4,C5,C6 coefficient values for that satellite data? And can any one of you share landsat8 land surface temperature data along with brightness temperature data so that it will be helpful for me to compare with my results.
You may try to use INSAT-3D satellite derived LST for comparison.
