I have written many research papers in local language, for which I have got many citations in offline mode. But the citation index is calculated in online mode only. so I don't get my citation index - h index or i10 etc. So if anybody can solve my query?
Dear Ketaki Modak , upload your articles to Researchgate. Then, upload your articles and other papers to your Google Scholar profile. Citations will come. My articles and books in Serbian were cited, you may check. Good luck!
Generally journals do not prefer citing articles published in a local language. How will people around the globe understand a local language and access to such journals? For example, there are many journals published in Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Persian, Arabic etc. It is hard to get citation for those articles outside the native speakers of the respective language. Sometimes, it is possible to get citation for those journals if they are available online and at least the abstract is translated into English. Another option would be to upload the translated version of your articles in ResearchGate or Google Sites or in your own website. It would reflect on Google Scholar search .
Research gate and google scholar are useful to improve the citation of the article and it will display the title of the paper and abstract.
