Hi:

I have modelled my concrete girder bridge that is under flood loading. I am giving flood force in terms of flood velocity as per Australian code AS 5100.

To study the reliability of my bridge I need to feed my flood velocities as a normal distribution (a series of hundreds of thousands of velocity values ranging from 0.5m/s to 5 m/s). Every time I feed this velocity as an input what I require as out put is just the maximum bending moment in the beam and nothing else.

I am not required to get the BMD for this. I am sure that the maximum BM occurs at the mid span of the beam. Can any body help to get /read only this BM values every time I tun the Abaqus for my hundreds of thousands of velocity values. I need to see how this BM fits. I know what I should do. For example if I mesh my beam as 15 beam elements, I need to read the BM value at the centre of the 8th element which is the middle element. I don't know how to define my output fields in the Abaqus. Or I don't know how to write a python script to get this value.

Can any body help me please.

Thanks
