I am working on optoelectronic device by using PEDOT;PSS.
My substrate is soda lime glass and the PEDOT;PSS solution is from Heraeus® Clevios TM PEDOT:PSS PH1000 ( I've used 0.45um syringe filter to filter the solution.)
Many people suggests to use "O2 plasma" or "UV ozone" treatment to increase the wettability of glass.
After I using O2 plasma to treat my glass, I can always get PEDOT film on my glass.
(the rotation speed I used is 3000 rpm for 60s.)
However, After I took pictures of samples by SEM.
I found the thickness deviates from 50nm~ hundreds nm which is not acceptable.
I'm a little worrying about the solution itself because it is "dispersion" in water, which is my first time to deal with. I'm not sure if it could cause any problem or not.
If anyone have experience to make PEDOT;PSS film or any related topics?

The thickness can be controlled either using different concentrations of a solution or the coating techniques. In your case, you could dilute your PEDOT:PSS solution using IPA solvent. The treatment on substrates is essential to wet the suface thereby improving coating quality.

Dear Deng-Yun Zheng , in order to ensure some homogeneity of the surface, it is preferable to sonicate the dispersion of PEDOT:PSS for 30 minutes. This will help you obtain a more homogeneous surface.

And I found I forget that SEM can only give me the picture at the edge. The edge pining should be the problem. So, I am arranging AFM measurement recently.

You can use 2 or 3-step spin coating, in which you can start with a 500 or 700 rpm for 10 s step and continue with 1500-2000 rpm for 10 s for uniformity and then higher rpms to form the desired thickness and drying.
