Hi! I would like to ask for the solution to our problem with regards to raster files (originally from ArcMap) imported to ILWIS Academic. Looking at the file in ArcMap, the file seems good and workable. However, when the file is imported to ILWIS, the file seems different when viewed in ArcMap. I have checked other raster files, but the problem still persists. Attached here are comparative images for both application results. Hope you can help us out. Thank you very much.
Try to use *.tif as the file format, then use GDAL to import to Ilwis. Also try to convert the current aspect map into a basic raster file, with only numerical values. Make sure the file name is not too long, does not contain space, and not start with a number.
When you export file from ArcGIS, the best way is selected *.Tif format and when import that file in ILWIS, choose GDAL as the import data, enter with short name and the folder contain it is also not too long, directly folder is the best. Good luck for you
Thank you for your help! I was able to import the .tif file, but I have another, similar question. The picture taken seems to be better than the previously captured problem - where the map look warped. The images shown as you can see are different (they are supposed to be similar). What is the cause of this problem?
