Hello, I work at midwifery journal in Indonesia, Now we need a reviewer from abroad which already has Scopus indexed publications. Where should I look for people who are interested in becoming reviewers?
You can go to Scopus, researchgate and other cites to search for reviewer. Even on LinkedIn peoples' profile will show you if they fit into your search.
Just to add up you can also go to google scholar, Academia and social network Facebook such as PhD scholars group to find researchers with variety fields or backgrounds to become potential reviewers and perhaps had indexed Scopus publications.
Perhaps as a start you may join the social networking sites such as FB you may search PhD Scholars or Postgraduate groups, you can alao join linked in there I am sure you can get to know and have your networking there and perhaps you may find potential reviewers to be on your lists.
Usually, experienced academia and seasoned researchers whose manuscripts have been published by your journal can be approached with such requests. You also search well-known and high-regard University web pages for Lecturers and Professors who will be interested in performing the task. You may have to consider offering them some remuneration to motivate them towards the task.
I totally agree with the comments by Sylvia Ocansey about how to get potential reviewers and urge caution about remuneration because that might actually make them not want to do it because of conflicts of interest if they submit articles in future.
The issue is that the review of the manuscript has become a commitment of accepting it or not.
Most of them are not willingness to accept the work of the review of the manuscripts.
Everyone is looking for monetary benefits in the fast moving world. Some are interested because of knowing the fact that it will bring indirect academic popularity through Publon.
Time matters it depends on the Academicians who are free will accept to review and they will not expect anything except the Publon, ORCID etc social network popularity only.
As you are telling that your Journal has been Scopus Indexed now. So you have to look for the reviewers with some benefits.
This will be very critical if you will not get reviewers for your Journal.
