Can we use hydrometer analysis to determine particle size of powders passing #200 sieve like marble powder, glass powder etc? Is there any other accurate and easier method?
We generally use hydrometer analysis for soil particles with less than 75 micron size.
Light scattering - laser diffraction - is now the most popular technology in the laboratory for this application and size range. Materials can be measured dry directly or in suspension. See:

I agree with Dr. Rawle, it is necessary to measure. Laser light scattering is most common technique for measuring the particle size distribution. Additionally, the distribution obtained will be limited from above, since the powder passed through a #200 mesh, which means that particles larger than 74 microns were removed.
Yes, you could use hydrometer analysis if you don't have laser diffraction.
