If anyone has a simple stepwise solution, write how to find parameters for washout and phase compensation blocks, for a basic power system stabilizer. Also an example calculation for a single machine system, would be welcome.
The application of new Bio-inspired Algorithms, such as Cuckoo-Search method can be very useful to find the parameters of PSS. These methods find the optimal parameters of PSS in order to maximize the system damping. It is interesting, since the tuning process is automatically carried out.
