How do you mean "resolution of 122.109"? Resolution is not a term used in the dicom header, as for as I know.

Look for:

(0028,0030)  PixelSpacing

(0018,0050) SliceThickness

(0018, 0088) SpacingBetweenSlices

For Pixelspacing you get an X and Y value in millimeters.

Hi,

to specify the size of image you need spatial resolution [ pixels per inch(ppi) ] of image. BitDepth is not related to it. You have number of bits of the image in each direction, you just need to know how many pixels are in one inch of image.

if 122.109 is related to SPATIAL resolution of this image. It means in each inch of image in horizontal and vertical direction there is 122.109 pixel . So, you just need to divide width and height of image to this numbers to find out size of  dicom image in inch. 

So, in the first step, just check it out if 122 and 109 are related to SPATIAL resolution not anything else.

the reconstruction diameter is 240, according to your suggestion, spatial resolution would be 0.9375. So! What should I do with this number to get the size in mm?

Once the scan is loaded, it will show you the resolution (such as 256x256) and the spacing (in millimeters).
