hi i have one independent variable with three classes and six independent variable. how i can find significant different in three classes with combine effect of six variables?? PCA, MANOVA, recgresion provides relationship between groups... these give overall effect on dependent variable. how i can get results for groups of classes 1& 3, 1&2, 2&3. it is giving significant for these classes for individual independent variable but not giving combine effect of six dependent variable on individual groups of classes. how i can get it?
My first question: why is it important to assess the group differences for the combined DVs? Isnt it more informative to have a look at each DV?
Nevertheless, why not running three MANOVAs with each combination and adjusting the alpha level according to the amount of analyses? Another approach, but maybe not exactly what you are looking for is a discriminant analyses, to see which DV has the highest impact on the group separation.
You can use multiple logistic regression or discriminant analysis.
