Hi everyone,
I am trying to extract the climatic data from a dataset (spain02) for a specific location (with latitude and longitude coordinates) using the ncdf4 library from R.
I am looking for some information in different forum and websites but I still do not see how will be possible to do it.
Has anyone dealt with this before?
Any enlightenment?

Hi María Alonso-Ayuso, you should be able to read all of the netCDF files in as rasters. But this might obscure their structure a bit. After you load the ncdf4 library in R, you can try something like:
dat.nc
You can directly use raster package in some case. Please find the example link.

I do not understand the question well, but a specialist in the applied climate is happy to know you. As for your question, climate data are usually obtained directly from climatic and agricultural stations as well as local stations, each with a location that can be determined by GPC. GrADs work in windows7 or it needs Linux or other operating system?

Finally I solved it throught R software with ncdf4 and raster packages... as Marcus Thomson suggested.
My problem later was finding a computer powerful enough to run the commands and open that large dataset.
